Breakdown of Different Styles

(many parts are optional and/or modified to people's preferences & I most likely haven't included all the features of each look)

Mainstream Makeup Styles

Clean girl makeup

• Usually lighter and simpler than other makeup styles

• Less foundation

• Glowy skin 

• Blush

• Gelled/slick eyebrows 

• Light lip products -> no heavy lip liner

• Full coverage matte base

• Filled in arched brows that are defined with concealer around the edges 

• Dark over-lined lips usually with nude colored lip products

• Nose and cheek contour 

• Highlighted nose and inner eye corners

• Fake lashes

Abg (Asian baby girl) makeup

• Similar to Latina makeup but they abg makeup usually adds defined aegyosal and consists of glossy, brighter lip products

• Full coverage matte base

• Filled in brows that are usually flat and thin and still defined/traced by concealer

• Fake lashes

• Nose and cheek contour 

• highlighter on tip of nose and inner eye corners

• Blush

• southeast asian inspired makeup

Igari makeup

• bright blush on center of cheeks

• Glowy skin base so less to no foundation 

• Brighter lip products

• Spring summer makeup tones

• Japanese inspired makeup

• matte base

• eyeshadow and eyeliner techniques that enhance the eye size like drawing bottom lashes and extending eyelid with eyeliner

Y2k makeup (early 2000s/late 90s)

• Extra thin brows

• Lot of concealer under eye and sometimes around the brows

• Frosted look with icy white, silver, turquoise, and lilac eyeshadow colors

• Entire eye is colored with black including waterline with smudged/smokey eyeliner

• Sparkly, sheer lipglosses
